
This week, Ford CEO Jim Farley revealed updated specs and numbers for the all-electric F-150 Lightning truck. Those who opt for the Extended Range battery option should see improved performance, especially on acceleration, with a faster 0-60 MPH time.
Since announcing the new F-150 Lightning electric truck in 2021, Ford has underpromised and over-delivered in several aspects. Initially, Ford promised around 300 miles of range but later revised the official number to about 320 miles per charge. Then, Ford updated the horsepower and payload rating to higher stats, meaning those who pre-ordered were getting a better truck.
Now, the company is doing it again. CEO Jim Farley took to Twitter and announced the F-150 Lightning Extended Range battery configuration can now go from 0-60 MPH in under four seconds.

We’re not sure if this is just an update to the official spec sheet now, thanks to proper testing, or if Ford managed to make changes and adjustments…
