Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 is an excellent phone with a lot to love, but the small 1.9-inch cover display on the outside is still one of its biggest downfalls. With the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung could finally give it the upgrade we all want with a substantially bigger cover screen.
Many expected Samsung to finally upgrade the display and tweak the design with the Z Flip 4 that arrived earlier this year. Unfortunately, it’s mostly unchanged from the previous generation. As a result, the cover screen is so tiny that most users fold the phone open for just about any task. However, that could finally change in 2023.
According to the popular leaker Ross Young, who is the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature a screen nearly twice the size on the outside. While the wording is unclear, he says we can expect a 3-inch or bigger cover screen with the Flip 5.
