Local stations will be available to Premium subscribers by November 30.

If you’ve been holding off on cutting your cable subscription because you want access to your local NBC station, Peacock may finally give you what you’ve been waiting for. The NBCUniversal streaming platform will stream all NBC local affiliates by November 30th.
Live streams of local NBC channels will only be available to Peacock Premium Plus subscribers. The stations won’t be accessible to Peacock users who get their feeds through a Comcast bundle or the platform’s ad-supported tier.
The move brings NBC in line with its competitor, CBS, which streams its local affiliates through the Paramount-owned platform Paramount+. And like Peacock’s live affiliate offering, you must subscribe to the premium tier of Paramount+ to get live CBS affiliates.
While offering local stations to customers is a great bonus for those who already subscribe to platforms, paying for multiple streaming platforms to get local stations doesn’t make much financial sense.
